Peggy Ehrhart is a novelist and short-story writer specializing in the mystery genre.

Her blues mystery, Sweet Man Is Gone, featuring sexy blues-singer/sleuth Elizabeth "Maxx" Maxwell, appeared in July 2008 from Five Star/Gale/Cengage. The sequel, Got No Friend Anyhow, is due out in January 2011.

Her short stories have appeared in various print and online media, including Futures Mystery Anthology Magazine, and she has won awards for her short fiction.

In her former career as a college English professor, she published a prize-winning nonfiction book and numerous articles dealing with the Middle Ages.

A blues guitarist, she has performed with several bands in the New York City area.
