Meghan Stevenson

I have worked in publishing for nearly a decade as an editor at Penguin Group USA (Hudson Street Press and Plume) and Simon & Schuster (Touchstone Fireside). I earned a Masters of Science in Publishing at Pace University in New York City, and received by BA in Communication Studies and English Writing at Winona State University.

My true passion is helping authors craft their stories and expertise into books for readers’ enjoyment and benefit.

Working for two of the country’s largest publishing houses, I have extensive experience helping authors navigate every stage of the publishing process, from cultivating ideas and querying agents to fine-tuning a manuscript before it goes to press. I love helping authors develop their ideas, and making sure that their messages are communicated clearly to readers who want or need to hear it. I particularly specialize in nonfiction, both practical and narrative, from memoirs to books on science, health and wellness, or other areas of academic and professional expertise. Whether your intent is to reach an agent, an editor, millions of readers—or all of the above—it would be my privilege to help you along your journey.

I offer a variety of services, including writing, editing, and critiques, but if you aren’t sure what would be best for your project, I offer free consultations so you can feel confident that you’ve made the right choice for your work.
