A freelance writer and editor born and educated in New York, Kathleen B. Jones moved to California in 1980, where she taught Women’s Studies for twenty-four years at San Diego State University, publishing academic works about feminism and the politics of the women’s movement in both scholarly and popular journals. Focusing on personal essays and memoir, she offers creative non-fiction writing workshops at universities and community centers, and provides editorial services, including proposal writing and general editing, specializing in working with academics who want to write for a general audience. She writes and produces Profiles, a San Diego City Access Channel 24 Cable TV series of interviews with local authors about the writer's craft, including Kathi Diamant, Debra Ginsberg, Chalmers Johnson, Susan Vreeland, Joseph Wambaugh (tapes available). Her last book was a memoir, Living Between Danger and Love. Her academic works are available by request.
