At present, I am writing a biography of Frederick Law Olmsted. I have also written two critically acclaimed biographies
Greenspan: The Man Behind Money (Perseus 2000) and Nader: Crusader, Spoiler, Icon (Perseus 2002).

I'm a former writer for Fortune and its sister magazines. My articles have appeared in numerous publications including Newsweek, Money, and the San Francisco Chronicle.

An article on modern-day rocket pioneers for Fortune Small Business; robots for Discover; children's books on various animals, astronomy human anatomy, and other subjects for Scholastic (publication in 2010 and beyond).

My Greenspan biography was a national bestseller and the paperback edition was selected as a notable book for 2001 by the New York Times Book Review.

I'm a generalist. My biography subjects have ranged from Olmsted to Nader to Greenspan. As a one-time staff writer at Fortune, I've written about entrepreneurship, personal finance, and economics. For Scholastic, I write for children on a range of topics. Over the years, I have also written freelance magazine articles on everything from travel (Conde Nast Traveler) to architecture (Cottage Living) to sports (ESPN magazine).
