This writer is looking for an agent.
My name is John Mangan, I am a lieutenant colonel in the US Air Force, and I am seeking an agent to represent my 114,000-word military thriller, INTO A DARK FRONTIER.
In the near future, Africa collapses into an enormous failed state. Untold millions perish in the societal implosion, leaving the continent lawless and severely depopulated. Slade Crawford, an international fugitive, and former Navy SEAL, tries to build a new life in ungoverned Africa. Without warning, Slade is captured by the enigmatic colonel Kraven, and blackmailed into pursuing a blood cult that is massacring local villages. Vowing to free himself, and destroy Kraven in the process, Slade sets out on a dangerous odyssey across the nightmare lands of post-apocalypse Africa. Ultimately, Slade discovers that the blood cult is controlled by a cabal of globalist oligarchs who deliberately engineered the collapse of Africa, and that colonel Kraven is leading a cadre of rogue US soldiers, fighting to derail the Oligarchs plans for one-world government. Thrust into the middle of this global shadow war, Slade must determine how far he is willing to go in the battle for human freedom, and what will remain of his soul after it is over.
In Exodus, God sent an angel to slay the sons of Egypt in order that his chosen people could live in freedom. INTO A DARK FRONTIER, and its sequel, is a modern telling of that dark angel's story. Built upon a foundation of historical facts and current events, the aim of this novel is not only to entertain, but to confront the audience with uncomfortable questions about the precarious state of morality and freedom in our post 9-11 world. It will appeal to readers who enjoy the crisp, authentic action of Andy McNabb, and the surreal fever dreams of Cormac McCarthy.
