CSS to Sell PFD
CSS Stellar has agreed to sell literary agency Peters, Fraser & Dunlop to PDH, a newly formed company backed by a consortium of investors led by Andrew Neil. The deal, conditional upon approval by CSS shareholders at its July 7 annual general meeting, is worth a maximum of £4m, of which £3.75m is payable in cash on completion, with the balance of £0.25m due in 2011, dependent on PFD's earnings in the three years to 2010. David Buchler, chairman of CSS Stellar, said the group's future was "best served by focussing on our core business of Sports Marketing and Events".

High Demand for Russert Books
Tim Russert's 2004 memoir BIG RUSS AND ME and the 2006 followup WISDOM OF OUR FATHERS was in serious demand after the Meet the Press host died of a heart attack last Friday. "We sold out in an hour," Richard Klein, co-owner of the Book Revue in Huntington, told Newsday's Tom Beer. "We probably could have sold 100 if we'd had them." Random House started shipping an extra 100,000 paperback copies of WISDOM while Hyperion has gone back to press for an additional 100,000 copies of BIG RUSS.
