About the Position
Architizer is looking for a Freelance Copy Editor to edit content covering architecture, design, materials, and product innovations that is relevant to architects and design professionals around the world. The ideal candidate is a savvy wordsmith who is self-driven, adaptable, and excited about architecture and design. Previous experience copy editing for print or online publications is essential.

Applicants should be:
- Pithy and articulate with a knack for crafting prose that is smart and punchy
- Confident in delivering clean, concise copy under tight deadlines
- Visual, with a great eye for striking images
- Knowledgeable about design
- Ability to translate architecture trade topics into accessible language

Main Responsibilities
- Edit daily posts on architecture and design
- Work with writers to refine and develop articles
- Craft snappy headlines

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- Well versed in AP Style, with at least 1-2 years of editing experience
- Able to work remotely Monday-Friday, roughly 20 hours per week, and able to maintain responsiveness in communication
- Able to commute to our downtown Manhattan office for the first week for training
- Proven experience hitting deadlines
