 Requirements: 
Publishing Technology is seeking a Director of Global Content Sales to join our Publishers Communication Group (PCG) division which provides strategic sales, marketing and consulting services to leading scholarly publishers, based in either Oxford UK or Boston USA.

The Director of Global Content Sales will strategize and oversee client content sales internationally. The key responsibilities are to manage content sales teams; identify new markets and open business opportunities; maintain healthy sales pipeline; develop strong client relationships and generate robust sales reporting and forecasting.

The role will entail generating revenue; managing staff; recruiting staff; setting goals and review performance; reporting on performance; strategize for maximum profitability; negotiation new and renewal terms of contract; evaluate emerging marketing; working with international customers; provide supervisor and Executive Management with performance reports; travelling to customer and client meetings and attending trade shows as necessary.

This role would be ideal for someone who has worked in a sales division at an academic publisher in a management position.

Requirements:
• Must have scholarly publishing experience, particularly working with academic libraries and with digital content
• Relevant experience managing a global sales force responsible for sales of scholarly content to academic libraries.
• Experience managing staff globally; mentoring and coaching staff performance; team leadership;
• Ability to negotiate contracts
• Pipeline management
• CRM and Excel
• Familiarity with content platforms
• Strong communications skills
• Fluency in languages in addition to English is a plus.
