 Requirements: 
Position Description:
Farrar, Straus and Giroux is seeking a professional, detail-oriented, energetic Subsidiary Rights Manager to join our fast-paced Rights department. The individual will be a key member of the department responsible to support the team in all aspects of domestic rights for the Farrar, Straus and Giroux list while also working on the Henry Holt and Picador lists.

Major Responsibilities:
• Would serve as a day to day contact for our first serial, audio, book club and large print clients across numerous imprints.
• Organize submissions and to provide clients with all materials needed.
• Would negotiate deal terms and handle all sub-license contracts, as well in aid in follow-up with contracts and outstanding monies.
• Liaise with editorial, marketing, publicity, production and art departments to manage and track submission materials and sales information for clients.
• Research and create rights guides for clients seasonally.

Required Skills / Knowledge:
• Superior verbal and written communication skills
• Exceptional organizational skills and interpersonal skills
• Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and work independently
• Experience at multitasking while working in a fast paced environment
• Strong work-ethic and someone who truly wants to be in the Rights department

Experience Needed:
• Domestic rights experience necessary

Educational Background Required:
• Bachelor’s Degree
