Your tasks
Penguin Young Readers at Penguin Random House, seeks an Associate Digital Publicist to join the team. The Associate Digital Publicist will work on growing Penguin Young Readers Group media coverage in the blogosphere by fostering relationships with bloggers across a variety of genres.

Responsibilities include:

� Fostering relationships with bloggers who cover key genres (YA, mystery, romance, sci-fi, educational, mommy blogs etc.)
� Pitching PYR's entire YA, Middle Grade and Picture Book lists to key bloggers seasonally
� Securing blog reviews and author interviews
� Customizing and organizing blog tours for select titles and authors
� Organizing select parenting blog mailings for Picture Book titles
� Researching and fostering relationships with media that cover digital book products, and assisting in outreach to these contacts
� Working closely with publishers/editors, fellow publicists and social media marketing team
� Cultivating and maintaining author relationships

Our requirements
The ideal candidate will possess:

� A 4-year college degree
� 1-2 years publicity experience; book publicity a plus
� Strong pitching technique and proven ability to generate creative hook ideas
� Excellent written and oral communication skills
� Proven ability to work within fast-paced, deadline driven environment
� Strong organizational skills & attention to detail
� Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel; SAP a plus
� Ability to travel less than 5% of the year via airplane, train or automobile
� An interest in children�s publishing
