Your tasks
Waterbrook Multnomah, a division of the Crown Publishing Group, is currently seeking an Assistant to join the publicity team.

This position provides an opportunity to work with the Waterbrook Publicity team while assisting the daily operations of the publicity department , helping to implement book publicity campaigns and attaining maximum publicity for the division´┐Żs titles.

Responsibilities include:

Creating publicity materials such as press releases, author bios, fact sheets and pitch letters
Developing, compiling and maintaining accurate and current information for media contact database and local and national media lists
Coordinating and confirming author tour schedules and book signings
Providing administration support including and perform departmental duties including reading notebooks, trade journal submissions, and coordinates with the distribution center for book mailings

Our requirements
The ideal candidate has a BA in public relations or a related field, as well as some relevant internship or working experience. Experience in book publishing is beneficial. Candidates should also be self-starters with impeccable attention to detail and possess a proactive and independent approach to work. The ideal candidate is savvy with social media and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite . Candidate experience should demonstrate the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a rapidly changing, fast-paced environment.
