 Requirements: 
HarperCollins is seeking a National Account Rep to sell to a major national account. This position would report to the VP of Internet Retail Sales and would be based in New York City. Working within the HarperCollins Sales department this position works closely with editorial, marketing and publicity to position our titles and lists for maximum exposure, sales and growth. Specifically this individual will focus on selling key HarperCollins paperback imprints to the major national account, including Harper Perennial, William Morrow Paperbacks and the Mass Market titles.

Responsibilities:
• Estimating projections, monitoring preorders and inventory
• Scheduling co-op and merchandising for the imprints listed above
• Responsible for planning ASAP merchandising for all adult titles (hardcovers included)
• Overseeing participation in the account’s VINE and SITB programs, and will assist in creating a monthly newsletter
• Fielding general requests regarding account-related issues from the editorial and marketing divisions and will act as a liaison between the home
office and our remotely based representative
• Organize, track and follow-through with the marketing team on merchandising content
• Create exciting and informative PowerPoint presentations

Requirements:

• 4 year college degree or equivalent work experience
• Ability to build a strong working relationship with the lead sales rep for the account
• Knowledge of basic sales analysis
• Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
